ABOUT THE ROLE:


Pace is seeking an HR Generalist to join the team! The HR Generalist will be responsible for human resources administration, recordkeeping, legal compliance, recruitment, and other special projects.


The HR Generalist reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources and must be located within commuting distance to Pace HQ in Greensboro, NC. Pace operates on a hybrid schedule working from the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and from home the rest of the week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
• Ensure detailed and accurate data entry into HR systems and files, both electronic and physical
• Appropriately prioritize recruitment fluctuation and daily HR operational tasks
• Work closely with the Senior Director of Human Resources on employee relations items
• Coordinate employee events such as work anniversaries, retirements, and the annual holiday party
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings
• Source, screen, and present top-level talent using both traditional and creative recruiting methods
• Coordinate college recruiting initiatives and attend job fairs
• Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
• Create and foster relationships with colleagues and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit passive candidates
• Provide complete and accurate information to candidates about the company, the position responsibilities and answer candidate questions
• Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates as needed
• Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data and documentation
• Conduct new hire orientation on new hire’s first day and check-ins throughout the new hire period
• Complete employment paperwork accurately and completely
• Administer HRIS system, UKG, and other systems as needed with accuracy
• Conduct background and credit checks as needed for new hires and internal employee transitions
• Keep up with ongoing learning required to maintain certification credentials
• Special projects, reports, and research as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


Education & Certification:


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
Active SHRM-CP or PHR certification required


Experience:


4+ years of experience in Human Resources
2+ years of experience in Recruitment


Skills:


• Extreme attention to detail—accuracy is everything!
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High degree of professionalism in verbal and written communication
• Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Knowledge of employment law and Human Resources best practices and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Pace uses MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint frequently
• HRIS experience (preferably UKG) and ability to quickly learn and efficiently use new technology systems
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated team player attitude
• “Lead by example” mentality – the HR team must exemplify Pace excellence with adherence to policies and procedures


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:


• The salary for this position will range from $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience, education, geographical location, and other factors.
