Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic Human Resources department? We are excited to announce an opening for a part-time, hourly Human Resources Assistant (25 hours/week). The schedule would be Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (with an HR for lunch).  In this role, you will support a range of generalist duties within our HR department, including benefits, recruiting, on-boarding/off-boarding, administration, compliance, and employee relations.

As our HR Assistant, you will be involved in various recruitment activities such as reference checking and preparing new hire boxes for mailing. You'll also assist with college recruiting by ensuring each college champion has the necessary supplies for recruiting events and tracking inventory for future re-ordering. Additionally, you'll order business cards, name plates, and name badges prior to start dates, as well as pick up the monthly birthday cake for staff meetings.

Your responsibilities will also include auditing employee files for required employment agreements and other documents, reviewing Maconomy files for consistency, coordinating firm meetings and events, and ordering flowers and meals for employees on special occasions as directed by the Director of HR or HR Administrator. You'll scan and input documents in Paylocity or Galaxy and complete special projects as assigned.

Working in tandem with the HR Administrator, you'll assist with our community volunteer events/projects and complete governmental reporting required monthly, quarterly, and annually, including the EEO-1 report. You'll run monthly birthday/anniversary reports for the marketing team, assist with reconciliation of HR-assigned credit cards, and help with travel arrangements for new hires.

To qualify for this role, you should have an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources (preferred), 1-3 years of experience in HR administration and general office operations, and the ability to maintain high confidentiality typical in an HR environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams), and eagerness to learn and use other HR-related software proficiently are essential. You should be professional, punctual, resourceful, well-organized, positive, self-motivated, energetic, and possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

This position requires fine hand manipulation for keyboarding 4-5 hours per day, physical presence in the office, a valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record, and the ability to lift light loads up to 25 lbs.

If you are ready to bring your skills and enthusiasm to our team, we would love to hear from you!
