People and Culture (HR) Representative

This position is responsible for providing the full scope of People and Culture services to the Department of Water Resources. Incumbents provide an advanced level of professional human resources consultative and analytical work and are considered a subject matter expert within the department with the highest level of knowledge. The individual guides employees, supervisors, and managers on departmental and City of Greensboro Personnel Policies, ensures regulatory compliance to mitigate legal risks, assists with performance evaluations, coordinates training, implements and participates in the hiring, recruitment, and termination procedures. This position provides leadership and guidance to all Business Partners in the Water Resources Department and provides direct supervision to two Business Partners. At the direction of the Assistant Business Manager of P&C and Public Education, the P&C Rep will assist with pre-corrective action Hearings; handles extensive exposure to confidential material; assumes responsibility and deals effectively with problems; exercises proper judgment when making decisions.
